At an early age my parents taught me the art of writing prompt thank you notes and my affinity for stationery and fine paper was born (well, after I initially threw a fit, I'm sure). In fact, I quickly fell in love with the card store in my hometown and my mom would have to drag me away.
After winning coloring contests throughout my childhood (the key: colored pencil/crayon combination. It wows the judges every time), I momentarily abandoned my creative impulses and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a finance degree. After discovering there was only so much color that could be infused in a spreadsheet, I started creating stationery as a hobby and artistic outlet.
Then I began my side career as a bridesmaid, and an idea was born. I've been blessed with many wonderful friends, and they in turn have blessed me with many "wonderful" bridesmaid dresses...nine, to be exact. Along the way, these brides turned to me when they wanted things like unique and creative invitations, menu cards, save the dates, stationery and programs.
The experience of helping them design unique invitations cemented my love for creating customized paper products, so I decided to merge my business knowledge with my creative mindset and officially launch Paper Cuts. I have worked with clients across the United States, and even designed for a bride living in Asia! I'm able to work with most budgets and I love helping clients find the perfect invitation for their event.
Since turning my passion into a business, I've completely left the corporate world, gotten married, had a beautiful little girl and continued to help clients celebrate holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and new babies! It is a joy to be part of so many festive moments and important events!
